  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello!

I have been reading this forum for sometime over the last months as my honda accord approached 77k+ miles and it was only an 09.

I had to make a change soon. I was originally thinking of the Venza and then the Murano but I said I would look at Genesis one more time.

I was not looking for a new one, but an 09-10. I found one and I jumped on it. Although I had to drive 600+ miles to get it, I am proud to say I am the owner of a 09 Genesis fully loaded. It just turned over to 12k miles. It was the dealers wife's car. It is white with beige interior.

I tried to look for a new members area, but was unable to find it.

If there is anything I need to know or should know please let me know!

**Just found out the mirrors turn down when the mirrors are turned to the driver while in reverse!**

One thing;

1. Dealer only had one key fob, so as I have been reading I need to see if the one I have is the "special" one so I can purchase and program the other.

Six hundred miles is nothing, if you get to drive the Genny home!

Be careful with the key fob. Used ones, as I understand it, cannot be re-programed. There should be threads on this; try "search."

Enjoy!!

Congrats Godsson!

I just bought my 2011 4.6 last Thursday. It was manager's special (demo/loner) but was sold as new, and they also had only one key fob. They got second one in a couple of days and programed it for free.

I am enjoying it! How did you get the illuminated door seals? Did you have to wire something to get power/light to them? The only thing I miss is the lights on upon exit that my accord had. But am still loving it!

Welcome aboard! My first Genesis was a white with beige 4.6 tech. Enjoy it!

Welcome. I think with the Genesis you should be good to go 250k miles or more. I have a 2011 with 76k on it now and plan on 300k miles before selling it. I think maybe your Honda would have gone 250k for you; my 2004 Acura was going strong at 239k miles when I sold it.
