  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all,

In February I purchased a 2014 Casablanca white R-spec sedan, mostly loving it except for a few quibbles. I've listed them below, I'm curious if others have had similar experiences, perusing the forum it seems the car should be relatively problem free.

-All four tires replaced due to flat spots from sitting on the lot, vibration continued, all four tire re-balanced and moved around the car.

-Interior sunshade replaced due to de-lamination of covering fabric.

-Navigation software update.

-Both headlights housings replaced due to adhesive residue on the interior of the lens.

-Hood and trunk lid required realignment as the body lines were not even.

Modifications I have made are:

-Yellow fog lights.

-De/re Badge.

-Removed moonroof wind deflector.

-5% tint all the way around.

A month ago my car fell victim to hail and the roof required repainting, I went with black, the windshield needed to be replaced as well. The roof looks amazing, totally different look for the car, however the lane departure warning system no longer worked. The body shop sent the car to Hyundai and they said its because its not a Hyundai windshield. Now I'm waiting for the glass company and the dealer to figure out what to do.

I have a 2015 Genesis 5.0 as a loaner, which is nice, not as fast as mine, but it does handle better.

That exact issue has been discussed here a few times. Apparently it actually takes a Hyundai windshield for the optics in the LDW to work correctly. Generic windshields don't cut it.

This was so common on the 2015 Hankook OEM tires, that Hyundai offered to replace them for free. What brand of tires are they on your 2014?

How many miles were on the car when you bought it? I wonder if it was repaired?

It has continental conti procontacts on it.

The car had 207 miles on it at delivery, the paint all looks factory so I don't think it was damaged, and the hood and trunk bolts did not have any witness marks from being removed or adjusted.
