Recently purchased a Hallasan Green 2023 Genesis G70 Sport Prestige Worldwide. lol
Paint protection film, Ceramic coating and window tint all done by Rahal Paint Protection in Carmel, Indiana.
Have a catch can kit on order.

Traded in a 2018 Genesis G80 Ultimate with the 5.0L and AWD. Really like this G70.

Anyways, wanted to say hello and absorb a bunch of stuff on here.

Great Question!! I absolutely LOVED my G80 Ultimate. 5.0L Tau V8 plus AWD was awesome!! The new G70 handles the bumps and crappy Midwest roads just as well but is certainly more sport focused. The room in the G80 is fantastic. I mostly drive alone and no kids so the G70 is much more driver focused and I love it. Bottom line is that Genesis makes solid vehicles. My G80 got regular service and I have no gripes. Only had to replace the tires after a pothole incident, not the cars fault. I formerly owned a 2016 Cadillac CTS performance which was very disappointing quality wise. Then purchased a 2018 Infinity Q60 Red Sport 400 which I modded and tuned with Hight Quality bolt ons. I loved that machine. That one was Traded for a 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser. These Genesis cars were EVERYTHING that the Cadillac and Infinity should have been. In every category.
The G80 compared more to the CTS, and the G70 to the Q60 Red Sport. My G70 is better in every way to the Q60 and that just hurts to say as an old
school Nissan/Infinity fan. Genesis is killing it with these.

Really glad to hear you're liking the G70 so much - even better than the Infinity Q60 Red Sport. That's a great endorsement...

When the original Hyundai Genesis Sedan was introduced, I knew Cadillac's CTS was going to suffer. And then the second generation in 2015 just sealed the deal. Nowadays, the G80 is so much more car than the CT5 (CTS replacement) is. Most people had no idea Hyundai's luxury offerings would be so good. I knew a long time ago.

In any event, yes, the G70 is the luxury sport - the G80 is the midway between luxury and sport - and the G90 is the flagship luxury vehicle made by Genesis. All three do an excellent job for the driver and passengers... You're right. Genesis is killing it.
