I figure I've been lurking enough, I could do an introduction thread.
Me: Mechanic by trade and hobby my entire adult life(and a bit before lol). Car enthusiast through and through, across multiple brands and platforms. No real bias here. And avid forum goer.
The car: 2009 Genesis 4.6 with all the bells and whistles available(I believe the tech package encompasses every option, correct?).
Bought with 78k miles on it just about 1 week ago and have enjoyed it from the day I bought it, to the day it went back into the shop lol.
It's in right now for sunroof repairs(sounds like the motor is toast), a brake flush, and the dealership(not a Hyundai dealer) said the CD changer issue cannot be justifiably addressed as the Hyundai dealer quoted them around $2000 for the CD changer unit itself.... I can completely understand that. But when salvage yards have it for $300, I MIGHT get around to it myself some day.
And for the record, a 2015 Ford Explorer is NOT "comparable, but better, so the loaner doesn't feel like a downgrade".
ANYWAY, onto the pics:
