I can't argue with you there, Mark. We're making essentially the same point. The contention that RWD is inadequate for winter driving is a perceptual (e.g. marketing) problem, not a factual one. And I'll concede, jmo, that there's a time and place for AWD/4WD (it's essential for the some of the places I take my dog truck), but I still contend that too many people dismiss RWD out-of-hand in winter climates, and they're effectively depriving themselves of the joys/benefits that only RWD can afford. It's easy to understand why younger people feel that way, but for those born in the 50s or earlier, they have short (or flawed) memories.
