  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Year
2015
Genesis Model Type
2G Genesis Sedan (2015-2016)
The bank and I own a 2015 sedan 5.0. Has a tad more than 88K on it, generally known as "original miles". So far as I know I can't find any other type of miles. Might they be " used" miles? Ah well,it's really nice car, a nice silvery grey one. I have been reading the weighty tome known as the owner's manual, the durn thing seems to have been written by engineers for engineers with the original person having English as a second language.
I have an "issue" that intrigues me. I live in a gated community ( read mobile home park) and as I leave the park car gives out a cheerful "Ding Dong" and upon returning as I enter, that grin inspiring two notes...Ding Dong ! Now I have spent considerable amounts of time in the aforementioned tome to no avail.
Thoughts?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. How long have you had your Genesis Sedan for? And what did it replace for you? As far as the dings - I wonder if that's your navigation saying you're leaving home and/or arriving back home... Is "home" setup with your address?

Thank you for your reply. I have had my sedan for about two and a half years. It replaced an 2003 Dodge Dakota. A great little truck but there is just no storage around our place. Thank you for suggestion. I will hit the manual and see what I see. jimvan
