  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've been selling Hyundai's for close to three years now, and I have always been head over heels in love with the 1st generation Genesis so naturally I felt the same way about the 2015's. Soon after I started, I convinced my father to break away from Infinity and try the Genesis. He purchased a gently used 2013 3.8L sedan soon after and my parents loved it. Soon after their purchase they let me know that they were in the market for another sedan if the price, mileage, and condition were right. They were always fighting over who got to drive the genesis into town to play golf. A black/brown 3.8 2013 tech package program car with 5K miles arrived soon after, so they pulled the trigger again. They are retired and have driven everything under the sun and both feel that the Genesis has been their favorite premium car.

My sales manager has been enticing me to lease one for the last six months but nothing too serious until last week. We had a black/black AWD tech package that was about to turn a year old on our lot. Most Hyundai dealerships aren't required to mark down year old units, but our ownership group does. Lucky me. I pulled the trigger on it and I couldn't be happier. Tinting and trunk emblem replacement is scheduled for next week and I can't wait to see it done!

Android Auto on the 2015 nav equipped sonata is amazing and I can't wait for it to hit the Genesis. News about AA for the Genesis is skimpy, but I'm keeping my ears to the ground. Cheers!

So, let me get this straight; you (a car salesman) talked your parents into purchasing a car from you. And then....your own boss talked you into "leasing" a car from your own lot?

Seriously???

Actually, yes. I'm the third in our dealership to drive one. I appreciate the welcome and all the emphasis you place in your words.

I'm calling the police... :p

Shawnee mission Hyundai in the Kansas city area.

Welcome! And congratulations on your Genesis Sedan! I recently bought one myself. We were riding along on the i95 this morning and started hearing a rattling sound from beneath the car. A few moments later the transmission fell out and the brakes stop working. We continued on as we could not stop and then the engine fell out. We rode over the engine and the floor boards were ripped off and then our chihuahua fell out and we ran it over with the driver's side back tire. Obviously we're going to need a new car and dog but we're not sure how to proceed with legal issues.

None of this actually happened this morning - it was yesterday morning - no, just kidding. Just trying to bring some levity to the conversation. :p In my own, insane, odd way. Anyway - enjoy your Genesis and I'm glad you found us! Now ask your boss if he/she would mind telling every single customer to sign up here and start posting. :p

Thanks!

I will mention it to my Genesis client base and those that would like to be. Most would be very interested.
