  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello Everyone! Purchased a 2026 GV70 2.5T Sports Prestige just shy of a month ago. She's Uyuni white with red interior. I decided on this combo since I've never owned a white vehicle. The last red interior was my 1961 Corvette owned back in the 60's! Yeah I've got some years on me... I purchased her from the nearest dealership which is in New Hampshire some 130 miles away. Went with the 2.5T because for me this is sufficient for my needs although the upgrade to the 3.5 has some features that would of been nice but for the extra $$ I just couldn't justify. Looking forward to this forum!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Congratulations on your brand new Genesis GV70! :) What did the GV70 replace for you?

I do find it a little odd that you can only certain get extra features when purchasing the larger engine. I don't think that should be the case. The 2.5T is plenty of power for almost everyone. One should not be penalized for choose the engine size that makes the most sense for them.

Hi Sal_ I upgraded to the Genny from a 2017(bought in May 2016) Kia SX Sportage. Carplay wasn't available yet but promised real soon. Sure enough in early June it became available. The Kia was a great car with all the features it offered as a model. Non of the negativity associated with the brand in later years dues to the rise in thefts for those models that didn't have smart key ignition.

Nice upgrade! But the Sportage does have a nice following as it's a good vehicle. I'm glad to hear it served you well. How are you liking the GV70 so far, in comparison?

There's nothing like a new vehicle in your garage. Still learning how to use all its features! The guide found in your glovebox is your friend. Between YT and the guide I hope to master this rig. Gotta laugh when someone riding with me goes "how's that work?" I still say "I'll get back to you...." The only thing that I have to count thats a negative is the fact that the nearest dealership is 132 miles away. I hope I never have to deal with an issue that makes going to that dealership by flatbed a reality.

I know what you mean about that new car feeling. Especially if you're a car enthusiast. And yes, there's so much technology in cars these days, you may be finding new things for years to come. :p But yes, YouTube is such a great resource, as is the manual - and here as well! :p I know more dedicated Genesis dealerships are on the way, so hopefully you get one near you soon...
