New owner of 2018 G80 and love it, mostly

Regretfully selling my 2006 E350 only 65k but costing too much and missing some tech. Drove some newer MBs but after a single drive in my new to me G80 I was sold, a few bummers like the trunk not opening with remote, I mean not fully opening with the manual trunk springs, no windows down from remote and no folding rear seats keep from being my perfect car. Looks like there maybe a solution to the trunk issue on this forum

Check if the trunk isn't on valet mode there should be a button in the glove box.

Its unlocking, it just no springing up. Ive read its due to the lift support going bad. It works with the smart trunk feature to unlock again just not to full open

Oooo sorry about that! I replaced 1 strut in the trunk with a Strongarm 6926 from rockauto back in January. It works like a charm now!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. And congratulations on your new Genesis G80. I think you'll find, overall, that it's a big upgrade from the 2006 Mercedes-Benz E350...
