  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I got this quote at my dealership in Houston, how much have y’all paid for something similar is it worth me getting it done at the dealer or just buying the parts and taking it somewhere else?

They want way too much for the brakes considering they're turning the rotors. Don't resurface the rotors ever. An entire pad and rotor kit for the car is about $330 plus labor.

The battery can be replaced with a superior model from Duracell for $290. Look up the Ultra Platinum 95R.

K&N makes a washable rigid cabin air filter for $44. Works better than the $20 STP filter the dealer is selling you for $50.

Engine air filters are about $20 per filter.

Oh this is a redundant thread. I posted in your other one. Basically same sentiments as suburbazine on the brakes.
