  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

new purchase of 2.0T help with shield under car

Hi,
just purchased a 2013 genesis coupe for daughter. 2.0T premium. Did not drive it until after we brought it home and very surprised at how fast it is. Went to change the oil (like doing those things myself) and went with synthetic mobil one. When I went under the car was a little surprised I did not see a cover or shield under the motor which I was expecting to have to remove before getting at the oil pan and filter. There is one up front below the radiator but I thought I read there was a second cover to protect rest of engine. Am I wrong? The oil change was very easy to perform and really like where the oil filter is. Only issue is anything she might hit on the road and it flies up at engine could hit the filter.

Thanks for any responses.
