  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey Guys :)
My wife and I just picked up our 2012 R-Spec a few weeks ago and are loving it. After testing cars all the way up to a Bentley Continental, I could not be happier with this choice. I have always wanted a wolf in sheep's clothing and I think this car definitely accomplishes a bit of that. With the Korean emblems on the front and back, most people have no idea what's going on with this car. People have mistaken it from anything from a Bentley to a Chrysler. That is fine with me :)

On my way up to Timmins, Ontario I did come across a Genesis Coupe that did appear to know what had passed him. I ended up being his rabbit for the next many KMs. Happy driving fellow Genesis owner!

One funny story. My amazing wife was telling her co-workers that we had bought a new car. They asked what kind and she said Hyundai. They said "nice" and carried on with their conversation. I guess the co-workers were looking at cars online and one of them mentioned a vehicle had a 3L engine. My wife piped up and said that our new car had a 500L engine. Her co-workers laughed because she had no idea what she was talking about and then she said - "oh I mean 5L!". The co-workers still thought she was crazy. "Hyundai does not make a 5L!" they said. She held firm to her belief as they googled it up. They were simply astonished. They could not believe she bought a Korean Porsche. She was the coolest girl at work.

Anyway - so happy to be here with you guys. Loving the R-Spec.

Welcome and enjoy.

John

Congrats!

:welcome: What color did you happen to get?

My aged father in law called on the phone last night and left just this message:

"Who needs 400 horsepower?"

I just smiled. :)

Congratulations! I also live in Toronto. I got my R-Spec one year ago and she still puts a smile on my face every day! This car is one of the best looking cars out there! Perfect blend of luxury and performance.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Much appreciated.

"Titaniam Grey Metallic". Ended up getting it for $14k under MSRP (brand new) so I could not be too choosy on colour.

Same thing from my Uncle (a cop)!

Thanks a lot! Not sure if it's weird or not - but it might be cool to meet up with some fellow owners in the Toronto area one day. I am interested in doing a few "fun" mods to this vehicle.
