  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2009 4.6. I bought it used and the rims were already scratched. I paid to have them repainted and refinished, but the company painted them too dark. I've had the same company repaint them twice because the paint/finish they used kept peeling off. They're also still too dark, and I'm done dealing with them. I want to just buy four new, OEM rims. The Hyundai dealer quoted me $2,600! No freakin way. I found these on Ebay:

Anyone purchased rims from this seller? Any tips or suggestions for me? If I buy them, do I just take them to my local shop and pay them to swap my old rims out for my new ones (same tires, though)? Thanks.

I would not purchase wheels on eBay. Too many bad things could happen. Go through a reputable aftermarket company or find oem replacements on this forum or another.

I couldn't click on the link to see the buyers ratings but if you do decide to go with them just make sure the communication is documented and you pay via PayPal to protect yourself.

Tailwalker is selling a set http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=17272

or enVmyIX is selling 19" R-Spec wheels. Take the opportunity to upgrade

It is amazing how that 1 inch makes a difference

245/40/19 or 245/45/19 recommended tires.

Define "reputable aftermarket". Most aftermarket cast wheels are of worse quality than OE wheels, and at a higher price point.

Ebay is fine if you take the precautions you list, but I'd add backing your Paypal with a credit card and not an ACH payment method.

And you are correct about most aftermarket wheels. They are not as strong as the OEM wheels and the majority of buyers don't know this. Although you might get away with it if the car is not tracked often or if you can avoid potholes. As always, modifying a car the correct way is expensive.
