  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,
I went to the dealers to get a flat tire fixed and was surprised to get four new Michelin tires as part of a recall from Hyundai. Was not expecting that. The new tires seem a bit quieter than the earlier Hankook tires. Have not felt any odd vibrations from the new tires till now. Would keep everyone updated.

You might check some of the other threads here that have been going on about the tire recall for several months now.

Were you experiencing any vibration with the original tires?

No the old tires were just fine. I went to dealers because I had flat tire with the nail getting lodged at the tire side.

same thing just happened to me. nail where it can't be fixed and they say they cannot replace the hankooks with another hankook. they physically can't get them, more like Hyundai wont let them.

I wanted to keep rolling on my hankooks a bit longer, but oh well. I haven't had the chance to experience the new tires, but I do like the huge rim protector on them compared to the hankooks.

They scratched up the rear rims when mounting the new tires and I'm waiting on new rims to come in from Hyundai.

I did have some fun with the old hankooks and i'll post that in another thread.
