• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "2009 Genesis" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 2009 Genesis Sedan" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Some say it's the best detector. Most of the reviews / ratings say differently. I've never even seen one.

I have an old Escort in my car, but stopped using it - got tired of hearing it constantly going off with false alarms.

Newer models will now remember false alarm locations, some even use an online database of same.

A lot of false alarms are now caused by the blind spot radar from several (but not all) brands of cars. The best of the newer detectors can mostly filter that out.

I've been reading about that. That, along with grocery store doors - if it's not filtered out they are just too painful to use.
