  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

As always all questions are welcome, for pricing and ordering information please PM us.

Looks good. I have to ask though: still not compatible with Tech package equipped cars?

Yes all the UNAVI Systems are for non-navigation equipped vehicles. That said we have talked about developing a system that would retro fit the OEM Navigation for our System. For this to happen there would need to be a very good amount of interest from the Hyundai Genesis Community.

I'm sure there would be interest in it for the Navigation equipped cars providing it was as/more feature rich then the stock unit from Hyundai. The navigation in them has always been sub-standard compared to other manufacturers. If there was a way to integrate your system with something like Google Maps it would be a very popular item, the navigation on phones has been way ahead of built in systems for quite a while. Another great feature for the 2009's-11's would be Bluetooth Audio (which if I recall correctly wasn't added until the 2012 models?).

Make something better and keep the price reasonable and I'd imagine they'd sell fast.

Indeed. I suppose I was more thinking ahead, because I know a lot of us tech package folks wouldn't want to spend the 4k to replace our units for just another factory unit.

Good idea. Not sure about others but I have a '10 with tech and it has Bluetooth audio.

Interesting , I have a 2010 Tech + Premium and nowhere does it allow me to connect my Audio music via. Bluetooth. I can connect the phone no problem but nothing mentions Bluetooth Audio in my owners manual.

I know I would be interested. The OEM interface lacks in almost every aspect imaginable. Lack of Bluetooth audio streaming (For '12 and prior) and just general UI if the entire system is terrible.

My apologies I misread your earlier post. For some reason I got Bluetooth 'phone' from 'audio'. Yeah I definitely don't have that connectivity either.

I have a 2012 without the tech package. I'm interested in adding the GPS with backup camera. Are all the wire connections already in the car and is this something that can be installed myself? are any special tools needed?

Put me down as interested.

I have a 2011 4.6 with Tech, would love streaming BT and a fresher interface.

Ditto. I would do a beta for you and would buy. 2012 5.0.

Great, we will need to create a poll for all the Genesis Owners so they can vote. As I've said in the past, we have talked about this and I'm sure that it can been done we just need to have enough interest in moving forward to develop a system that can retro fit our Navigation System into a Tech or Touch Screen Equipped Genesis. As for pricing this we can not answer at this time since its very early to know what will be needed and involved, I do know that we if we do move forward we will need a local car for testing. If there are any members that are in the local Brea CA area, please contact us in regards to using your car for testing when its needed.

I would also jump at the chance to replace the Nav on my 2013 5.0 R-spec with a Unavi system, and I would be willing to spend several $K to get it. I have posted on this forum my issues with the stock nav, and contacted Hyundai about these flaws in their systems, and Hyundai has notified me that there will be no firmware fixes to any nav, audio, or DIS components. Bring it, Unavi!
