ok let me start by saying this site is awesome.. I just purchased a 2013 Genesis, i don't know what i bought(tech package or whatever) i know that sounds odd but i was looking at some cars and came across this 2013 genesis it has the leather interior on the dash and on the seats, has nav ,and DVD player only able to watch in park. I read a lot on the DVD part here on this forum! thanks for the info..I have seen where some people talk about tech package and other packages for the genesis like the ultimate package, i don't know what i have I know that sounds crazy but it is what it is. My wife took it to the dealership and the mechanics fell in love with it they stated that it has a aftermarket exhaust the sound is awesome and has REBS brake system. I have searched for REBS brakes but only brembo comes up?? I know that whoever had it before me took GREAT care of it, and from this site i know that they installed the after market LED lights in the cabin area (dome lights, door lights)..It has the 3.8L motor. 17 inch rims factory.. and has the wing badge on the trunk. just wanted to say thanks for all the info here on this forum ! I have learned alot since i have been here "looking around"

Excellent choice. Do you have the big round button the center console between the seats, if so you probably do have the technology package. If you have a button the dashboard left of the steering wheel that says "LDWS" that is for turning on and off Lane Departure Warning System, you likely have the technology package.

Anyway, welcome to forum, great choice, and hope you get a chance to enjoy some good driving in your new Genesis.

You got a great car with a much smoother ride than even the 2012. They totally redesigned the suspension in 2013 and the difference between 2013 and previous years is astonishing!!

Can't help you with brakes, but, you got a very good car.

Excellent. You got the version that came fully loaded with all the features. Not sure what you were driving before your 2013 Genesis, but you're going to really love in just about every way.

Do you know what was changed in the suspension for 2013, and can those changes be made after market for a 2012, for example? And what would be needed to be changed?

We just got back from a trip to Oklahoma from NC and it was a very pleasant ride.Throttle response was awesome. smooth lane changing with more then enough power to pass other vehicles that were in the fast lane on I-40! hahaha

Imagine how that thing would accelerate if you had gotten one that wasn't 2 cylinders short of a real motor I kid, I kid. Glad you're digging the new car. Sounds like getting a 2013 kept you in the better looking generation, but with some awesome upgrades!
