  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone tried the Nitto Motivo tires on a 4.6L Genesis Sedan?

These are the tires I wanted but couldn't get any here in Canada.
They are BO'd till next year!

I have them on my 4.6 but I've only driven 4000 miles on them. I have no complaints so far. I have owned the Bridgestone Serenity tires and in my opinion, the Nitto Motivos is the better tire. I don't know if the Nittos are better than the new Serenity+ though.

Thanks Kayroe. This tire sounds interesting: UHP and 60k treadwear warranty. The reviews on MotorTrend and Road and Track were quite favorable. I want my cake and eat it too. I drive fairly aggressively so I'm concerned with handling etc. I also want a smooth quiet ride and safety in rain or light snow. Have you noticed an improved ride from the OEM Dunlops or have you only had the Serenity tires? Specifically, have you noticed any difference on rougher roads?

I can't say that I notice any differences on rough roads. The Nitto Motivos don't flex as much as the OEM, or Serenities but they do seem to handle more precisely than those two tires. I have noticed when driving the Genesis with any tire, that when there are more people riding in the car, the less nervous the ride. My wife and I went on a 1500 mile trip with a full trunk and that was a really comfortable ride. These are great tires for the price. I just don't know how they will perform 30, or 40,000 miles from now. Also, they perform great in the rain.
