No Leases In South Region???

Hello, I'm new to the forum as I am just now considering a Genesis coupe. I really like the car, but was curious about why (assuming it's true) Hyundai doesn't offer a lease in the "south region" as the dealer I met with said. I'm in Louisiana. Anyone heard about this? Is this true, and if so, why?

Could be some local restriction. Although, I haven't heard of anything like that before. I have heard of different terms/pricing based on location. I'd check another dealership to see if you get the same story. Or, you can try your luck with calling corporate Hyundai USA.

I read about this on the Edmunds.com forums. I believe the poster was from Texas. Maybe there is a low interest rate available instead to make the monthly payment attractive?

They offer a $1000 cash back deal and that's it. Not exactly enticing. It's too bad, if there were a lease deal I'd be in a Genesis right now. I'm just not sure I want to buy one though.

I'm in Orlando and got a 3.8 Sedan lease in October of 2009. Is Orlando not considered South? Maybe Southeast?

According to my owners manual:

South Central Region: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Wyoming.

Southern Region: Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina.
