No voice in Apple CarPlay Maps

The radio volume will lower but no one talks to me. It worked fine for 2 months and then stopped. Thoughts?

I guess is related to the newest media software update , for me in places where known speed radar are installed, before the update the car was making the announcement by lowering the volume and saying the n 700 m bla bla , now it doesn’t , so I suspect is the software. For you make sure the voice volume is not at 0 in the settings since as per your comment the volume drops on the media fallowing an announcement but you hear nothing

FYI.
And you may already know this.
But, to check volume for carplay, you have to adjust the volume while it is speaking (or trying to speak).
In other words, while you're driving, the direction voice will come on - you have to adjust the volume at that time. Otherwise, you're adjusting the radio volume.
