  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

if I walk into garage and hit unlock and set the key down on my workbench , all doors lock again in 1 or 2 minutes. aggravating
But I went to the diner and purposely did not lock the car and it never locked itself with the key further away.
can I set auto lock when key is 30 feet away or more?

No. So far, Genesis does not seem to have this feature.
Like many cars, if you unlock it and then don't open a door, it relocks again pretty quickly.
If you open and close a door and don't lock it, it stays unlocked until you do lock it.

One thing my wife's Expedition will let you do is actually lock the car if there's another key inside.. That might be good, that might be bad, but in our case it's good because my wife's key ring is massive and has a bunch of keys on there to houses we no longer own, where I am pure minimalist; I have my car key, her car key, and our house key and that's it. I hate bulky key-rings so when we go somewhere I always bring my key, but out of habit she will bring hers too. First-world problems, I know.

I assume that her expedition, like my Lincolns, has a keypad on the driver's door. I think that makes a huge difference. I still miss that feature.
