Notice any difference?

Still waiting on my Equus...

I have had a Genesis 3.8 and a 4.6. I certainly noticed a difference between the two cars (how fast each one was from a complete stop).

I know some here have had a Genesis before their Equus and I know the Equus is a heavier car. I also saw some discussion about slower 0-60 times.

In just everyday, layman opinions...and acknowledging I'm not in a Nascar race...what did you new owners find? Could you really tell a big difference between the Genesis 4.6 and the Equus?

Only that the lag from an "almost" stop seems diminished. Feels like a better sync between throttle and tranny.
Otherwise, it's the same smooth power as your 4.6 Genny. On the highway especially there is no difference.
You'll love it.

Added on edit: a complete stop does make all the difference. Most complainers about the lag don't seem to allow the car to shift down to 1st.
Also: layman enough? I hope so cuz I ain't no techie!

My father just took delivery of a 2010 LEXUS LS460L AWD. I tried to get him into the EQUUS- would have saved him a few thousand despite getting a great deal on the new 2010 Lexus model- over $10K off.

What sold him- the AWD- plain and simple. Stickered over $75K and out the door at $64- the $59K EQUUS lacked the all wheel drive. Equus adding AWD and the 5.0 engine and upping the price tag by $3500-$3900 still would be a deal.

Damn, I wanted a 2nd iPad!!

It's the color combo I wanted and they checked and found one in port.

And to STREETS, if he's happy, well that's all that counts...and wouldn't ya know, I got an Ipad for Christmas.
