  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just got my new 2015 Genesis 5.0 with the Ultimate Package. Helluva car.

I used to represent a Ford/Lincoln dealer and drove demos. Even 3-4 years ago the Fords had a feature that audibly said "Phone not connected" when I'd driven a block or two away from home (or office) without the cell phone that was paired to the car. A GREAT feature for somebody as forgetful as me.

Is there any chance my Genesis has this feature and I just haven't found it yet? The car is so technologically superior to anything I ever drove that nothing would surprise me.

Here's hoping some genius out there can help!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Can't say on the 2nd gen, but on the 1st gen (at least the models with the technology package), you get a notification when the bluetooth connection is broken. I can't imagine that they've removed this for the 2nd gen.

I sure would not want such a warning unless I could disable it permanently. It falls in the category of the car reminding one that he has forgotten his sunglasses.

I still get the disconnected message when my wife goes in to a store, etc, just like my 2012 did.

Aren't we mixing things here? The original question is about getting in the car without a phone, starting it and the car saying basically "where is the phone?". The second comments have to do when leaving the car running with the paired phone and the car saying "phone disconnected".

The Genesis does the latter but not the former.

My humble apologies, I misunderstood. Reading comprehension failure on my part.
