  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

OBD Chip

I'd stay away from these generic tunes. "Best case," nothing happens, no changes. Worse case, you do long term damage to your vehicle. These boxed tunes will often randomly play with timings, fuel mappings, and throttle response in hope of either improving power or giving that impression.

There are also enough questionable and negative reviews out there to suggest avoiding them.

If you want a tune, look for a reputable and experienced company that specifically creates custom tunes for the Genesis vehicles. Even then, there is always going to be a risk of damage if they don't know what they're doing.

I must say well said. Patients

5.0 no such thing not even with an experienced tuner. They haven't been able to break the programing, hence no tunes offered. 3.3T . Get a RaceChip it's available. 3.8 13+ Blood Type Racing maybe.

I had installed a chip in my 3.8L Genesis, worked great for 2 years, then the check engine light came on. Had to remove. Just buy the car you want with the power you want. That said, I will stick to Genesis, waiting for the SUV!
