If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all,

First let me start by saying... WOW. What a car. This coming from someone who's driven an LS460 extensively. This Genesis is something else. But I'm sure you all know that, else we wouldn't all be here right?

Looking to lease one given the fantastic residual. I know Hyundai is still running the "2199 down, 399 a month" deal for a base Genesis, so I'm assuming the money factor (0.00080) and residual (24month = 66%) are still good.

However, I want a 3.6 with Tech and Premium Plus. I've been scouring the net, in particular edmunds to see "prices paid" and have found that some people have been getting:

0 down, 540 a month

If taxes are included, thats a pretty nifty deal. I'd like to get something like that or even slightly better, but the thing is, it sounds like Hyundai is selling you the car at under invoice at that point.

My questions I guess are:
1. Is a deal like that doable? I've heard a bunch of people have got it (especially northeast region). Just wondering if anyone on here has scored such a deal.
2. Is Hyundai giving dealers a 2% holdback like I read somewhere. That would make the deal very doable.

Any input or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hmm, I surprised - I thought that a fair amount of Genesis owners were leasers.

I actually have a dealer thats offering a Genesis thats being used as the general manager's vehicle with 1000 miles on it. I'm wondering if I can squeeze out the lease deal to 520 down (just 1st months payment), and then 520 per month as subsquent payments. Any thoughts - again, ANY INSIGHT is greatly greatly appreciated - whether its info about the 2% holdback, or anything else, it all helps in getting a btter deal:)

Hi, vishnus11. Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up.. I'm sorry but I don't have any advice for you. I think people are having a rough time finding leases (or loans at all) at this point in time. The economy is just terrible right now.

If you like the manager's vehicle, go for it. With only 1000 miles on it, it's still a new car..

Hyundai has a 2% Holdback- but that is "NORMALLY" off limits from the dealer- I know I can get people deals for "Invoice+" on any car - but besides me getting GREAT deals for my personal use- I did get a client a car last week with the deal "into the holdback significantly".
