  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello! i am new to the Genisis group. I have had an odd issue with the positive battery conection. Sometimes it is just disconected and seems to be tightr. I haver taken it off, cleaned it and reinstall and it is ok for awhile then dead again. Has anyone had this isse and an idea of a fix? They dealer says hey never heard of it. Also I was driving along fine, pulled over but did not turn the car off and started off and it would not accelerate. Put in neutral and engine reved fine but in grear it would only accerate slowly. parked it for a few minutes then it was fine. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello! I am new to the Genesis world. Have owned a 2016 sedan for about a year now, 70 k miles. Have had an odd proble where the positive battery conection seems to come lose (but it is tight) and the car is dead. Cleaned and reinstall and it is fine for awhile then dead again. Slaming the car door will often get it going untill I can get to it. Any idea of a perminante repair? Dealer says they never heard of that problem Thanks!

Actually, this seems like a pretty common problem.
When you say that it is tight, do you mean the nut/bolt on the clamp, or the clamp itself. If you tug on the cable, does the clamp rotate or otherwise move?

Hello! I am not sure this is a transmission issue but my car kinda made a noise like I had run over a rock, the radion went dead for a second then came back on but the car would not accelerate (very slowly). put in neutral it reved fine but back in gear even floored it would bearly move. Parked it for about an hour and it is back to normal. Not sure what to do next. Don't want to be pulling out in traffic and it happens again! Thanks

All of that was probably caused by your loose battery connection. Solve the known problem first before looking for other issues...
