  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello - I'm looking for some reasonably priced rims for snow tires. There are some used 18" OEM rims for sale, but they are a different design from what I have on my car (2012 3.8 Premium).

My car has 18x7.5 '14 spoke' and the ones I am looking at are 18x7.5 '9 spoke' (from a 2011 sedan). I'm not sure if there is any difference in offset for these rims. I assume not, but I'm not 100% sure. (I already had to return some after market rims because they didn't clear the front brakes). If I google photos of a 2011 Genesis Sedan, I see pictures with both rims. Not sure if they are from different trim levels or what. Does anyone have any experience switching between the two rim types? Thanks.

My dealer got me some 17" alloy rims and winter tires for much less then going to 18" winter tires and rims.

I wouldn't like the looks of steel rims, 17" or 18" in the winter, looks like hell on a Genny.

There were two 18" wheel styles on the 2011 3.8 V6 depending on trim level, but they were interchangeable on a 2011, so probably also interchangeable with the 2012 V6.

However, if you are wanting to have Genesis emblems (to replace the flying H) installed on them (if not already on the ones you are looking at), the wheel hub emblems are not the same.

The 17" wheels from the Base Trim level should also fit OK. The style changed in 2012, but other specs are the same.
