Oil capacity 2016 3.8 liter

Have been taking my 16’ 3.8 Ultimate to the dealer for service since new will now be thinking of doing my own oil changes with Mobile1 and would like to be positive as to the exact oil capacity.
I’m old school from back in the day when 5 qts was pretty much standard w/filter.
Sooo the capacity of the 3.8 I understand is 6 qts is this correct?

- 7.29qts for the 3.8l engine.
- 8.45qts for the 5.0l engine.

I change the oil in my 2018 G80 3.8 and have even when I could get free services, but I don't trust anyone else to do it. I put the car on ramps and drain the oil and remove the oil filter. I let it sit about 10 - 15 min to drain. Replace the filter, put the drain plug back in then put 7 quarts of Mobil 1 in it. I then start the engine and let it run for a minutes or so. Then check for leaks at filter and drain plug. Then take car off the ramps. Turn the engine off and let it sit for 10 minutes. Check the oil and adjust the level if needed. So far, 7 quarts has been fine.
Now is a good time to rotate the tires, check cabin filter, washer fluid, coolant, brake fluid, tire pressure, etc.
