I've been changing my oil on 3.8 2015 Sedan for the last 60k. I have a persistent leak on the filter and overtightened two changes ago and ruined the housing and replaced it.
Does anyone know how you are supposed to get the new O Ring flush. It bubbles out so much more than the used one I've left on forever. Is it not supposed to be flush? I put the new one on and it stopped leaking but this is the gap (it stops at the O Ring). I can't imagine it was designed for it to stop there and I'm afraid to leave it like that. I'm using Wix 10033. Thoroughly confused and tired of dealing with this problem. I know I have it in the right slot.
