  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Oil Filter

Sad they don't have 5W20
After my post, I did a little investigating online and found that Kirkland Signature oil is produced by Warren Distribution based in Omaha (with manufacturing facilities in multiple U.S. locations). They say they are the largest producer / distributor of private label lubricants and automotive fluids. A little more detective work and one might find which retailers such as Walmart, AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, etc. get their branded products from Warren Distribution. I WILL say it is an act of faith to use a product that costs half as much as the big name brands, but I have to believe that Costco and all the rest aren't going to risk their reputations by slapping their label on an inferior product.

I've heard that Amazon Basic full synthetic is the exact same oil as Kirkland. There are several brands that are all the same.
