Oil light stays on after oil change

I recently had my oil change. My oil light sensor still is lit up on dashboard. Every so often the sensor light goes off then comes back on. I took it back to the shop and all they did was reset the mileage. He also checked for any leaks. None. Any suggestions are appreciated.

That oil light has nothing to do with oil changes or level. It is a low oil pressure indication. Assuming that you have the correct weight oil and it is not contaminated, then there are three possibilities.
1. The oil pressure sensor is failing - This is not uncommon.
2. The oil pump is failing. This is not common.
3. The engine is too worn out to maintain enough pressure. This is unlikely if it is well taken care of and does not have several hundred thousand miles on it.

Incidentally, that light means pull over and turn the engine off immediately and have the car towed somewhere to check on it. Otherwise the engine could be destroyed in a few miles. Clearly, this didn't happen to you, so you are lucky. It's probably the sensor.
