  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When weather is pretty cold, I'd say below 45 degrees Fahrenheit, after 20 minutes or so of driving, I'm getting oil pressure light on & off at the traffic light/stop sign. then as I accelerate oil pressure light goes off. so I checked oil and it's fine, between Full and Minimum.

after doing some search, there are stinger owners having same issue, only difference is they are usually at 80~90k miles while I only have about 60k miles(2019 3.3t sport).

So I took it to dealership today(temperature is about 60~70 degrees today) and they can't duplicate that & no codes of any sort. they are test driving it again tomorrow first thing in the morning but I doubt it will pop up again since its going to be pretty warm.
I've seen some 2017~18 g80s having similar issue on this forum and YouTube videos, but not g70s.

Anyone having same issue? Based on post from stinger owner, it's not a easy fix so I took it to Dealership.
I will probably pick it up tomorrow and as soon as I see the light again I will just go straight to dealership and show them.

I would check the oil when engine is cold. If level is between full and minimum, add some to bring it to the full level.

Surprised that dealers don’t consider video evidence. Obviously they can’t believe everyone, but they should at least take into consideration. Maybe you could ask them if your passenger manages to get it on video they can start some proper diagnosis.

So what do the Stinger forums say? Is it just an oil pressure sensor or something worse like an oil pump?

I've send them video evidence(I was the only one in the car so I filmed it) and they test drove yesterday and today morning, and they didn't see it so advised to bring back in when its cold again

Stinger forums say its probably oil pressure switch. Some paid almost $3000 USD at dealerships and someone mentioned like $1300 at local mechanic since they were out of warranty.

this video is g80 with 150,000 km or 93,000 miles and having similar issue.

should've explained better. when engine is cold oil level was full, like two dotted line below full mark.
