After purchasing my (new) GV80 I have been EXTREMELY disappointed with Genesis dealers follow through on many of the services advertised. The complete and total lack of service valet is far and away the most egregious one of these.
Genesis still advertises this service on their website, despite the fact that anytime I try and book it (with dealers ranging from 25 miles away from me to dealers as close at 0.5 miles) I am told "Your GV80 does not qualify for the service valet program." No other explanation as to why I somehow don't get the thing that was consistently advertised throughout the sale is given.
I have submitted a complaint of fraud through the FTC, and would highly encourage others to do the same: Report Fraud
If someone knows of a more appropriate avenue of complaint I am open to it as well, please post it!
To head off the "AkTuAlLy..." crowd - I am aware of fine print / disclaimers. I have also spent years in advertising and know that at a certain point of incompetence fine print and disclaimers stop protecting you, and the actual language used to advertise to consumers takes priority.
While we could all go get law degrees and debate the legal standing of fraud claims till the cows come home, that isn't the goal of submitting these complaints.
The goal is to make complaint numbers on an executives dashboard go red. Having worked inside massive companies this is actually a feasible route to get attention to an issue - complaints don't have to be legally bullet proof to drive change, they just need to ruin the right exec's dashboard.
