  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I saw a white genny with what looked like metallic tint. I wish I could have asked if he/she was have any issues with the electronics. It looked very luxurious, dare I say, very Benz like. Not mirror tint. Anybody ever seen metallic tint on a genny or Q? From what I understand that's a no no for our cars, but....

Not legal for front windows in Georgia.

I know what you mean. I saw a few MB's with those windows, not quite tinted, but they had a metallic reflection about them. Looked very nice and I thought it was factory done.

I think there is some confusion about reflection. Both ceramic and metallic films have a slight mirror reflective quality to them, more so than dyed films. Metallic films may be a bit more reflective than ceramic, but not much, and it depends on the brand and VLT of the film, and the interior color of the car (black interior will make the tint film appear to be more reflective in most cases).

In the case of the MB you saw, it might have been just a relatively high VLT film such as 50%. I have Formula One Pinnacle 50 and it has a similar quality as you described, almost as it is factory tinted.
