  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For those of you who like the idea of installing aftermarket wheels on your genny sedan, what is your opinion between these two wheels?

I added attachments in case the images aren't viewable...

A larger wheel will decrease the ride quality. So if you can live with shaking your teeth out the first set looks good to me.

Have to agree with Homeofstone on this. my 2010 rides firm enough with the stock rims and wouldn't want to add to it with even less sidewall. First set look fantastic but I would stay with 18's on this car

Omg people. Going with a larger wheel and good tires won't make the ride any rougher than stock. Lower profile tires have come a long way and no one on here is putting a super tiny sidewall tire on anyways. 35-50 sidewall like most aftermarket tires ppl on here use will truly have no difference than the stock setup. Many factory setups come with 20's, you don't see ppl complaining about them because there is no reason to. The suspension is what you need to be concerned with, not the size/profile of the tire within reason. You mention wheels on here and the 1st thing ppl wanna say is "hope u got a good back" or that you like a rough ride, they've probably never had a set of aftermarket wheels. How about you just don't comment if the thread doesn't pertain to anything you like. He didn't ask how you think the ride will be, he asked an opinion on 2 sets of wheels. Get some wheels man. Vossen is always a win!!!

END Rant

Thanks G - I couldn't agree more.

Not to mention that I have a 2010 Genny (3.8 sedan) and a 2014 5.0. I have the stock 18's on the 2010, and the stock 19's on my 5.0. Going from stock 19's to aftermarket 20's will not create the issues these guys (and many others) think it will.

Let me wash and wax first. We are actually expecting rain here in Phoenix!

I looked at those Ace Alloy wheels myself and considered them. I ended up going with the Convex in 19x8.5 and 19x10s in the Hyper silver. Just put them on last week.

Any pics?
