  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wondering what people think of this design. I used plastidip to color every other spoke black on the oem r-spec wheel. I'm thinking I like it and would go the powder coating route to make it permanent.

I think it looks good on your paint color. First glance I thought they were R-Spec rims.... Wait, they are R-Spec wheels hahaha

At a quick glance I love the thin 5 spoke look, when looking at them for a longer time, I personally don't like the look as you can see all the spokes, and see that every 2nd spoke is painted black. I've seen factory wheels done the same way stock, and I'm sure plenty of people dig the look. Just not for me.

I love the thin spoke look as well but am finding it difficult to find aftermarket ones that look right or fit. That said, my plastidpped wheels look far better in person than they do in the photo for some reason. Another OEM wheel that looks a lot like this is the Ford Taurus SHO wheel. I know ford wheels have the same bolt pattern as Hyundai but I think the SHO wheels have a smaller center bore, otherwise I would consider getting those.

I knew I recognized the design. You're right, very similar to SHO wheels. I actually considered a late model SHO before I got the Genesis, but I'm the kind of guy to do a lot of reliability research before buying a daily and the Genesis was head and shoulders above the SHO in that respect. I might be a mechanic, but why drive something I need to fix for free all the time when I could be getting paid to fix someone else's junk? lol

They look great! Two thumbs up...

Late reply but it looks EXCELLENT!
you are standing out. Very nice! :)

Wheels are like women. A matter of personal taste. I prefer blondes. Enjoy your personal taste.
