Hi,
last July (I think) I updated my Genesis GV70 manually via the USB stick approach. I was under the impression this would unlock future OTA updates. There's a map update pending now for months. I see it in the car settings, but the update button is disabled. Genesis customer service told me that I should be able to do an OTA by clicking that button and they confirmed I had a recent enough version of the software that it should have worked. They sent it on to their level 2 support. About 3 weeks later the level 2 support got back to me and "claims" I can't manually call for an OTA, but someday, some year, some time it will happen in the background. I'm dubious of this explanation as it is in contradiction of what their customer service claimed should happen. Does anyone have any idea about what the truth is vis-a-vis OTA updates? This really shouldn't be that complicated.
Thanks
Ben
