Early on I remember reading that the Genesis steering wheel would be wrapped with an "ultra-violet reflective" leather that would keep the wheel from getting really hot when sitting in the sun. I never see that mentioned anymore. Does anyone know what happened to that?

Interesting. Now that you mention it, we've had temps near 100 for the past several days and the 2 or 3 times I've had it parked in the sun I was still able to touch the steering wheel without noticing it being hot. Hmmmmm. I'll have to pay closer attention to this.

What's interesting about this is that it was touted as a feature for a long time, and then suddenly you didn't read about it any more. I don't see any mention of it on any of the Hyundai websites now. Oh well... Let us know your thermal observations!

In the black Genesis Sales Brochure on the page that says "Overflow" is the following description: "A UV-resistant leather-wrapped steering wheel so it's never too hot to touch."

So it sounds like the feature is still available. A UV-resistant leather wrapping the steering wheel. Interesting..
