  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Had my 4.6 V8 Plat w/ tech, Blk interior and wing badge on trunk, out for a drive yesterday. Even in the cold (NE), and sitting for 3 days, the startup was smooth, idling smooth and the car wamed right up (interior via the Auto climate control).....setup for my mobile phone syncing bluetooth was real easy and quick.

Remembered some comments about the rear speakers not being covered in the trunk area, I checked and I do have the covered shelf inside the trunk..so no visible speakers.

For gas mileage, a combination city/highway right now, with only about 100 miles on it, I am maintaining about 23 mpg, but again I am babying the car as I break it in....

The sound system, both Satellite and CD is unbelievable. Next, I will be working to sync up the ipod, maybe tommorow.

Overall, Fantastic Ride....very pleased with my purchase.

My 4.6/Tech is now six days old with 423 miles on the clock. The dealer paired my cell phone to the car when I took delivery last Friday. Before I left the dealership I picked up the iPod cable from the Parts Dept. ($30) and hooked up my iPod when I got home. As long as you have a newer style iPod with the elongated jack, it is totally plug and play, but you do need to push firmly down on the jack in the center console to ensure that it is seated properly. Then push the Aux switch on the console and up on the main screen pops your playlists, albums, genres, etc. Sweeeeet!

With so few miles on my Gen I've been pleasantly surprised at the mileage I've been getting. On a day trip (highway) of 240 miles last weekend the trip computer said I averaged 26.3 mpg. At the moment with the second tank of gas I'm getting 23.3, which is roughly half highway and half city driving.

What an outstanding machine!
