  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2013 Genesis with the premium and tec packages. When the car is put in reverse the outside mirrors fold down to see the ground. Is there any way to turn this feature off, so that the mirrors just remain stationary?
Thanks,
Mike

Use the tab in the middle of the mirror control. If you put the tab in the center position the mirrors will stay still

Thanks for the information much appreciated. As an aside I asked the dealer service department the same question about the mirrors and they had no clue as to the answer.

That feature is covered in the owners manual. maybe they should try reading it sometime. ;)

I know when I went to buy mine, the salesman knew just about everything on the car. Said they were reuired to read the owners manual and become familiar with the vechiles they were selling. Makes sense to me.

Service departments AND sales people are the last people to ask...... it's like trying to get tech answers from a clerk at Best Buy!!

My experience must be unusual then. When I bought my 2011 Santa Fe the sales guy went over the entire car stem to stern and even set up wifey's cell phone Bluetooth.

When I bought my R-spec (different dealership) the service manager AND sales guy both walked me through the entire car (most of which I forgot as soon as I drove off the lot).

These two dealerships have been the most professional I have ever experienced in my 50 years of owning new cars.
