  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

We've now put over 1500 miles on our new Genny in less than 2 weeks and I still couldn't be happier with the car. :) We just got home from a weekend of doing a lot of driving (700-ish miles) with a lot of freeway, back road and a moderate bit of city miles and rarely saw below 25 MPG and had over 27.5 MPG average on the last 175 freeway only miles. I'm not disappointed with those numbers at all for a 4400 pound vehicle with AWD that performs as flawlessly as this one does.

All of the electronic “features” that I've used work exactly as I'd have hoped they would. It's amazing how much more of a finished product the 2015 is compared to our 2010. Our 2010 was a great car but we experienced a number of electronic glitches that seemed like some of the electronics were a bit incomplete and “unfinished”. I don't know exactly when but sometime between the 2010 model and the 2015 the Hyundai engineers did a very fine job of tuning these cars. I can't really find any flaws and very little that I would change at all. Maybe a few button positions but they're so insignificant that I'd really have to be looking for something to gripe about.

I find that it even handles a lot better than the reviews indicated. It may not be classified as a “Sport Sedan” but when I can comfortably go around our local cloverleafs at over 50 I'm happy. That's a lot better than I would have expected from all of the reviews I read.

YMMV, but this old fart is very happy!

in addition to handling better, do you also notice that the ride is more comfortable and soaks up bumps better?

any comments about the engine/exhaust sound?

awesome machine !

It's been awhile since I drove another Genny but both the ride and handling are better than I remember. Since my 2010 was an early production I know it had a number of ride and handling problems that were addressed in later years so I don't really when the improvements came about, but the 2015 seems a lot better than I expected after reading R&H complaints in the reviews. It may not be a BMW yet, but it's getting closer. I don't remember feeling so confident in curves with any car other than my Supras.

Engine and exhaust don't sound like a rice racer, but both are more or less appropriate - neither too noisy nor too quiet - or at least they sound fine to me. Kinda refined without being too quiet. You may have a different opinion, though.
