  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

my car is shaking like crazy and the mechanic said the code is p0018 bank2 sensor A, also cylinders 2,4,6 are misfiring. Any idea what this could be? The mechanic spent a long time working on it with no luck. I would really appreciate your insight folks!

I had the same code, replaced the cam sensors, one and two. Two is drivers side back of block, easy and cheap to fix. Turns out the problem was with the oil control solenoid, for vvt bank 2. You can do voltage, resistance test to see if it's the issue, not hard, just pita to get to. I replaced both. If one fails, probably other is going to go and didn't want to go threw the hastle again. It's also a pita to get to bank 2 solenoid, one is pretty easy.
