  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The paint if fading at the edge of my trunk lid - anyone else? I haven't taken it to the dealership yet.20230923_122235.webp

I havent had that problem - yet - but I saw a 2015 just the other day that had faded considerably, but the car looked like it had not been taken care of at all

Had the same fading, tried to polish and buff it, it looked better, but still not great. I'm thinking of respraying the section with a matched base coat and clear coat from spray cans.

Haven't seen that but my pearl white 2015 clearcoat on front and rear bumper is peeling badly and changing colors and Hyundai says "sorry, not our problem" when I tried to get them to fix it.

If I attempted that, it would look so ghetto! I'd have to spray paint the whole car flat black LOL!

without a professional repaint it is really difficult. That does not mean you have to put up with it.
How about a series of bumper stickers across it? With elections coming up, you should be able to get a variety of them
Outline it is a contrasting color. All you need is a pint of Sherwin Williams enamel and a 2" brush.
Anti-Alien radio signal shield. Just a 6" wide strip of aluminum foil. You can even make a matching hat.

I hope these ideas inspire you to do something truly inventive and enhance the beauty of your car.

You can get a pretty good result with the right paint/clear - many videos on the process - paint about $85. I painted the front bumper on a Honda and it looked pretty darn good
