  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have been amazed at the quality of paint on the Genesis. In particular, the uniformity of application and lack of orange peel syndrome. It is superior to any other car in recent memory. :D

I have a BMW M toy car and when I get really close I can see a large area on the rear quarter where they did a fair bit of buffing. So far I have not found any blemishes or rework done on my Genesis. I'm sure I'll eventually find something, but I have not found it yet.

Ditto, paint is top quality. My BMW and Mercedes look no better. In the sun the white Genesis has so many flakes of color up close, it is amazing and smooth as glass.

Of all cars I have had (Merecedes, BMW, Lexus) no paint, fit & finish compares to the Genesis. Not sure if the use a rotisserie while paint is applied- but it is near perfect.

Almost every new car suffers form Orange peel to some degree. On the Genesis,it's very good, better than my BMW. The only small amount of OP that I have detected is just below the chrome strips on the bottom of the doors. All Genesis sedans have it, I have looked at different, years, different colors etc and I still see it.

Interestingly enough as I was investigating my screwed up Side Rocker Molding, which as the wife will tell you was completly my fault, i did notice some orange peel areas between the center door molding and lower door edge. None found anywhere else thank goodness.
