I had my Gen 5.0 Ultimate Montecito Blue detailed yesterday. The finish had a bit of overspray but now is like glass. Anyone else have same experience?

over-spray? On a new car better go over the car with a magnet to detect any body fill it might have been repaired . The hood is aluminum so obviously wont stick to it . Put a microfiber cloth between the magnet and the car so you don't scratch it. It could be the car was next to another one while the repaired it. Mac

Almost every car has overspray SOMEWHERE if you look hard enough. Not a great indication anymore of a repaired car. Cars are just becoming low quality no matter how much you pay :/

I don't know that I know enough to recognize this if I see it. Can someone post an example? Panel gaps and alignment are my pet-peeve.

I think the 1g was aluminum but I'm pretty sure the 2g isn't.

Any car that hasn't been clayed will feel like it has something on the paint like overspray. Take a piece of cellophane like a cigarette wrapper and wrap it around your fingers and gently slide it on the paint of an un-clayed car and you'll be amazed at how rough the paint is. Cars that have been rail shipped will have an abundance of rail dust on them, usually on the rear, that will form small rust spots if not clayed off - especially visible on light colors.
