Parking Sensors - how effective at obstacle detection?

I'm mostly wondering about concrete and asphalt curbs that are so popular around where I live. You know the type that are just high enough to scrape the front/bottom bumper. Are those picked up by the parking assist function - i.e., the sensing active at low/parking speed?

From my experience, sometimes. If concerned, turn the camera on.
