  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Good Morning,

An odd issue with the passenger seat belt.

The receiver will not allow the buckle to be fully inserted. The Buckle will not function at all?

Any suggestions (other than call the dealer)

never heard of this on a hyundai.

is your passenger air bag light off/on when a passenger is on ?
could be related. no codes ?

Will check the Airbag light...

no codes.

Taking it in to the Dealer tomorrow...said it was as afety issue, and they got me in right away.

Took car in to Dealer.

Had to order a new receiver for the buckle...

Gave me a 2013 Genesis - 3.8 as a loaner.

I like the newer features over my 2011 4.6... like BT streaming... and the NAV... and the power folding mirrors...

I was certain it was the receiver. They rarely jam up unless something got inside of it like a small stick or leaf. Most likely you had a fatty try to buckle up with a rogue french fry in the way.

I'll tell the GF to stop eating fries.

Really.

No eating in the car.

Last person In the front seat was a reasonably fit Indian man I have a ride to work. Later that day....belt did not work.

Please. Tell me how your post assisted in the resolution to this issue?

Since the issue was resolved by the dealership, my post, or any post by anyone from here on out will not assist in the resolution of the issue.

However, it appears that my post, as tasteless as it may be, will have assisted in the prevention of future issues.

Cheers!
