  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Isn't the PCV valve P/N 26740, which is not shown in the diagram.P/N 26720 im the diagram looks like a hose

I'm making a mess of this thread.

If you are installing a catch can... the 'IN' hose on the catch tank is connected to the PCV valve (1472AV in your pic of hose 26720). The return (OUT) from the catch can connects to 1472AB on the plenum.

Also... as a member here set me straight. You need a multi layered fuel rated hose. I originally used some plain jane fuel hose and the fumes went right through it after a couple of weeks. I have some left over if you need some.

You've actually made it clear, thanks so much for your help Arcman.

Thanks again, one more question, what were the sizes of the hoses for the in and out ports?

What the hey... posted to the wrong thread. Doh!

The hose I purchased was low permeation 5/16".
I used transmission line hose for mine, worked just as well.

Hey arcman, does your catch can have a bronze filter, the fine mesh one like on the mishimoto catch can? just wondering if the bronze filter can increase crank case pressure.

Yes, and you can easily blow through it with your mouth so I'd say very little restriction. As much gunk that ends up in it, I assume the intake vacuum is greater than any pressure in the crankcase.

As long as there is suction/vacuum, there shouldn't be any build up in pressure in the crankcase correct?
