  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thank you. But I think it comes down to preference. When I read your post, I had just come home from Walmart with a 5 quart container of 5w20 Castrol Edge with Titanium that I paid $26.98 for. No filter, but my dealer will give me the labor and filter free for the next couple of years. To each his own.:)

There is no titanium in your oil. If there was any, your engine would would be ruined instantly. It is Castrol EDGE with Titanium "Strength" (which presumably means the oil is as strong as titanium). But this is a ridiculous comparison since no rational person would compare the properties of motor oil to that of a metal. I guess this is the kind of advertising one would expect from a sleazy company like BP.

Of course, simply putting purple dye in oil they buy from ExxonMobil, and jacking up the price, is not exactly anything to be proud of either.

Okay. Well the guys on the Acura forum were glad to know about this.

RELAX, please. Where's your sense of humor?? Everyone on this board knows I'm not putting Titanium in my engine -- I knew I wasn't putting Titanium in my engine, and frankly, the last time you corrected me on this issue, I even tried a little levity with my "Titanium Oil Additive Detector (TOAD)." Can't we have a little fun while we share valuable information with each other? All I was trying to do was respond to the OP's second post.

You always provide a lot a good information, but this is not the FTC, SEC, FDA or FBI.
