Performance rookie needs some tips

Hello! I am a very excited owner of a 2010 Genesis Coupe. I previously had a 2002 Kia Spectra in college.. and it's safe to say, that car was a POS. Now with a career and a solid paycheck - as well as a good car to invest in, I would LOVE to start looking into how I can make this car even better.

But, I have no idea what to expect. I'll be starting a job in Seattle next week. Would I order parts and then find a place to install them there? What can I expect a pretty good overhaul to cost for this vehicle based on each performance increase? Where should I start? Since I know absolutely nothing about tuning (but want to do it), what can I really do?

What power increases can I make without voiding my warranty, if any?

That's a hard question to answer. I think it is safe to say that any modification to the engine will void warranty depending on how stickler the dealership is. Simple mods you can do to increase power would be a full exhaust and intake. They can reasonable be easy to swap back out if you need to take the car to the dealership for a warranty fix. As for handling, look into adjustable shocks/coilovers/lowering springs, and front/rear sway bar and tie bar. These items are all relatively easily removable if you need to take your vehicle to get something fixed under warranty. Hope that helps.
